Most kids don't need an excuse to skip mass. Lost in Space was no exception for me. It came on Sunday mornings and I would try every trick in the book to try and convince my parents that I needed to watch an episode. Who could resist "Danger Will Robinson!" The reason he looks so much like the Forbidden Planet's Robby the Robot is because he was designed by Robert Kinoshita. Although B-9, Class M-3 General Utility Non-Theorizing Environmental Control Robot, he was known simply as "Robot" on the show. Loved it.
